The photographs of those killed and those
who were forced to commit suicide or died of
depression and destitution during the Singur
Movement on the dias. This was not only a
victory celebration but also a solemn
occasion to remember those who could not
make it.

The village band arrives ! Contrary to the
popular belief that farmers are not
culturally minded, the Singur people are
very well known for their interest in Drama,
poetry, music etc.
