Street corner meetings in protest of State sponsored terrorism has been going on through out the State of West Bengal.
One such meeting at Belanagar in Howrah district. Activist Novelist Poet Manik Mandal can be seen addressing the gathering.
Ordinary people and passersby lit up candles and signed the banner of protest to show their solidarity.

Two days Fasting was observed by Medhaji and others. Ordinary people and passersby lit up candles and signed the banner of
protest to show their solidarity. Ordinary people along with men and women from Singur and Nandigram took Oath to continue the
struggle. Two marches were organised. The previous day saw arrests for agitating in front of Nandan to stop the opening
ceremony of the Calcutta Film Festival !

Octogenarian Prof. Amlan Dutta sat on a 48 hr Fasting at Nandigram Mancha at Dharmatala or Esplaned opposite Metro
Cinema on 19th Nov 2007. He can be seen in the pictures below, addressing the rally. Various intellectuals of Kolkata also
participated. This rally carried out relay Fasting of 48 hrs each till 22nd Dec 2006.
